Using Jijot it’s extremely simple to build and execute automated test scripts for all your mobile App testing needs, our solutions are especially optimized to diagnose functionality and performance.
Your pre-defined test plans can be triggered in a continuous integration environment, once a new build is ready, and can run unattended, ensuring the right App build is installed on the devices prior to the run.
Scripts can be written in the programming language of your choice, as well as in the built-in Selenium IDE environment which we provide.
Jijot uses an App2Web mirroring technology which seamlessly maps your running mobile App to a web interface. With App2Web Mirroring, your mobile App can be accessed using a web browser while gaining access to all the GUI Objects of your App, using any web scripting tool. All the unique mobile device functionalities are also available through this web access.
Jijot is prepackaged with Selenium IDE specifically enhanced with mobile functions however you may choose to use any programming language you find fit.
Jijot allows automate access, during script testing, to anywhere on the mobile device whether it is part of your App under test or any other App on the device. You can easily access all the mobile activities such as phone calls, SMS, mobile settings and more using the software’s build in macro commands.

In common usage all mobile devices are connected with USB cables to a designated central lab. However, Jijot allows for mobile Hot Spots. By simply connecting your mobile phone to your laptop, your device becomes a member of the mobile lab, accessible to all users and ready for automated testing runs.
Use Jijot to build a single automated script which controls the interaction of multiple devices, e.g, you can automate the process of sending messages from one mobile device, confirming arrival and replying on the receiving device.
R&D-QA collaboration has never been easier! Share and view the same testing sessions between the developer and the QA engineer, allowing them to interactively pass control over the device remotely.
Jijot blends into a continuous integration environment. Upon successful build, Jijot automatically installs the designated devices with the new build, and initiating a pre-defined test plan, providing full access to our automated test tools.
Automation is a powerful tool. In Order to save valuable time we at Jijot, have created ready-made macro commands which activate common mobile operations (e.g. sending SMS, initiating a call, changing a settings) suited specifically for each mobile device model.
In a proper Functionality Testing we need to simulate a real life usage scenarios. In the mobile environment, users are likely to work with your App, while going in and out to some other Apps, checking the notifications or accessing common phone operations (e.g. answering calls, sending text messages). Jijot allows the tester to automate these type of activities and it is not limited to the Application Under Test.
While your tests are underway, Jijot collects the Device Resource Usage metrics in real time which can be viewed both online and offline as part of the result analysis.
Jijot is completely web based, so no local installation is required. Jijot is compatible with Firefox browser using the Firefox Jijot plugin.
When executing mobile App tests, at times you are required to verify an effect indeed occur correctly on the back end of the system under test. To do so you can use Jijot to access your web server from the PC and simulate web user activity.

Can I use any Selenium Web command in Jijot?
Yes, using web2App, Jijot is presenting the mobile device as web application on your PC, so any web selenium test can be used on top of the Jijot added commands.
I’m a developer, can I install my local build on a device in the lab?
Yes, as a developer you can point Jijot to your local build folder, Jijot will use this build to automatically install it on the tested device prior to a new run
How difficult is it to connect new device to the system?
To connect a new device to the lab you need to set three flags in the device settings and then connect the device to the Hot Spot PC using USB cable.
Can I execute web tests using Jijot?
Yes, you can use standard Selenium web tests to activate browser activity on the PC. This way it is easy to activate some action on the mobile App, and then check something using web action in a browser on the PC
Can I connect the device in my hand to my laptop and run tests on it?
Yes, you can download Jijot HotSpot component which will allow you to connect any mobile device to your laptop and use it just like any other device in the lab
Can Jijot install a new build automatically on the mobile device?
Yes, if you set the latest build to be your default build for the App, you can set Jijot to automatically install the default build on the device prior to test execution
Can Jijot support hybrid apps with web content?
Yes, Jijot is using Selendroid internally to support hybrid apps
I am using HP UFT, can I use it with Jijot to test mobile Apps?
Yes. Jijot arrives with UFT plugin which allows you to UFT as the execution tool for mobile testing on top of Jijot.
When a new device arrives to the market does Jijot need to be updated to control it?
No. Jijot is based on standard iOS and Android API’s. We do however supply new skins for new devices. If a skin a missing some generic skin will be used
Are all product features for Android supported under iOS?
Since Jijot is using only standard OS interfaces, we are bounded to the iOS limitations which permits access to the Application under Test only.

Jijot is a joined development of Vayosoft and Yossi Oulu.
